User Account and Data Deletion

Kinnections Australia Pty Ltd provides this page for Kinnections web platform and mobile app users who want to request deletion of their account or associated personal data.

How to request deletion

To request deletion of a Kinnections account or associated personal data, email us from the email address connected to the account where possible.

Request account deletion

Please include:

  • Your full name
  • The email address connected to your Kinnections account
  • Your school, early learning service, or organisation, if applicable
  • Whether you want your account deleted, your associated personal data deleted, or both

What happens next

We will review your request, verify your identity or authority to make the request, and confirm the next steps by email. Where Kinnections stores information on behalf of a school or early learning service, we may need to confirm the request with that organisation before deletion can be completed.

We aim to respond within 7 days and complete verified deletion requests within 30 days, unless we are required to keep certain information for legal, security, child safety, audit, contractual, or regulatory reasons.

What may be deleted

  • Account profile information and contact details linked to the account
  • Login or authentication information controlled by Kinnections
  • Personal data associated with the account, where deletion is authorised
  • App or platform records linked to the account, where they are not required for lawful retention

What may be retained

Some information may be retained where necessary for legitimate purposes, including legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, child safety, audit obligations, dispute resolution, contractual obligations with a school or service, or backup systems until those backups are overwritten in the normal course of business.

We may also retain de-identified or aggregated information that can no longer reasonably identify an individual.
